Lumecca IPL is a non-invasive treatment with minimal downtime. After your session, you may experience temporary redness, mild swelling, or sensitivity, similar to a light sunburn. These effects typically resolve within a few hours to a couple of days. Because your skin will be more sensitive to sunlight, wearing sunscreen daily after treatment is essential to protect results and prevent new sun damage.
To get the best results from your Lumecca IPL treatment at HUSH, avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners for at least 2–4 weeks beforehand. You may also need to stop using products with retinoids or active acids and avoid medications like ibuprofen or aspirin that could increase bruising.
